The 2016 Sea-Doo GTI 130 is powered by a naturally aspirated 1,494cc Rotax 4-TEC engine that produces 130 horsepower. This provides a top speed of around 90kph, which is more than adequate for most recreational riders. It also offers multiple riding modes, including Touring, Sport, and ECO, to suit different preferences and conditions.
Ride and Handling
Built on a 132.6-inch hull shared with higher-end models like the GTR 215, the GTI 130 strikes a solid balance between stability and manoeuvrability. It handles responsively, allowing for playful spins and slides, while still feeling secure for novice riders. The seat is designed to comfortably fit up to three passengers, and the handlebars with palm rests, along with flush floor mats, enhance overall rider comfort.
Features and Technology
One of the highlights of the GTI 130 is Sea-Doo’s Intelligent Brake and Reverse (iBR) system, which offers superior control and safety by allowing the rider to brake and reverse easily. Intelligent Throttle Control (iTC) ensures smooth and adaptive throttle response across all riding modes. The Digitally Encoded Security System (DESS) includes two keys—one for standard use and another programmable learning key that limits top speed, making it ideal for new or younger riders. With over 30 gallons of storage capacity, it has ample space for carrying gear and essentials.
